And my heart skipped a beat

One of my favourite New Zealand labels Ruby released a sneak peek of their offerings for their Spring Summer season ahead. As soon as I saw these photos, and those blush bow flats in particular my heart skipped a beat for sure, fingers crossed they will come in a wee size 5.

Dry & Tea

One rainy afternoon I was so spoilt as to be gifted a visit to blow dry bar 'Dry and Tea' in Newmarket. Specialising in creating beautiful do's whatever the occasion, Dry and Tea have certainly created a loyal fan base and cemented its place in the beauty industry since launching in 2012. Half café and half salon as its name suggests, the Newmarket branch also houses a quaint little outdoor area perfect for sweet treats in the sun. On my visit there, my stylist quickly set about creating a half braid with the rest of my hair curled and pinned to one side, the perfect look for my birthday weekend, très chic!

It's Mothers Day this weekend! So naturally I'm taking my mother out for a garden high tea on Sunday, hopefully the weather stays sunny...

Louis Vuitton Pre Fall 13

This pre-fall offering from Louis Vuitton was released a few months back now, but its stylings have been on my mind ever since. There's an interesting masculine effect in the boxy cut jackets with sloped shoulder lines paired unexpectedly with girlish gathered mini skirts. Lace makes a welcome appearance in the form of lace prints utilised in dresses and jacket and skirt suits. Mention must be made of the adorable neck/wrist/ankle bows, polka dot tights, head scarves, and red lips.

Oh the joys of discovering a new label of lust! Spanish label Delpozo was originally founded in 1974, and appointed young designer Josep Font as creative driector just last year. With a strong haute couture influence in its heritage, Font has come on board to revitalise the brand keeping in touch with its roots while also modernising the brand with a style that captures absolute femininity. I absolutely adore the intricate hand embroidery, floral printed silks, lace appliques and flowing chiffon looks that have become the brands trademarks. I'm not a huge wearer of trousers but these floral-embroidered organza tapered pants make my heart skip a beat...
